HEADSTART project participated in the third European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2021). The event was held virtually from 20 to 22 April 2021.
EUCAD is a high-level and evidence-based conference where policy challenges meet innovative solutions to deliver on societal benefits. The event is the only conference in Europe that brings together political leaders from the European Commission and Member States with high-level representatives of industry, knowledge institutes and road authorities to exchange knowledge and experience on the most recent technological developments and policies in the area of CCAM.
During the three days conference, the HEADSTART virtual booth attracted more than 150 visitors who had a look on the dissemination material and discussed with the project’s representatives about the HEADSTART objectives and outcomes. EUCAD2021 might be over, however, the virtual booth online resources are still available here.
Furthermore, HEADSTART participated in session B08: Standardization and roadworthiness testing with two presentations. Our partner, Oihana Otaegui from VICOMTECH made a presentation about standards activities and how they can be integrated in the validation of CAV. During the presentation, the HEADSTART methodology was presented as a real case of application. Marta Tobar from IDIADA also made one more presentation on the 3-pillar approach for CAV type. Ms. Tobar during her presentation highlighted that HEADSTART is working in type approval testing and validation of CAV.
